You might expect, from a practice named Kaleidoscope LifeWorks, a range of services incorporating a variety of methods for helping people in different life stages and circumstances make their life work better. And indeed that's what I, Anne Rossen, provide:
- Individual Counseling and Psychotherapy -- for adolescents and for adults of all ages.
- Couples Counseling -- pre-marital, marital, and separation- or divorce-related. I also work with non-traditional couples in different relationship stages.
- Family Therapy -- for those in nuclear, adoptive, blended, or extended families.
- Parent Coaching -- for expectant parents as well as parents of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, elementary-school-age children, adolescents, young adults, and older adult children.
My services involve a highly individualized approach, grounded in careful listening to what you're saying and a sensitivity to the various contexts of your life and their possible interactions -- namely, your current developmental stage and the ""bio-psycho-social-spiritual" aspects of being human.
Just as each turn of the kaleidoscope yields a new pattern, each person I meet is unlike any other, even when their reasons for seeking counseling are the same. Since we all have our own temperament and strengths, and our own particular combination of life experiences, I avoid a "one size fits all" approach to therapy. Instead, drawing upon sound theory, a broad base of knowledge and resources, and the best of new and established research, I work with you to meet your needs. Such an approach to therapy is often called "holistic" or "integrative."
For those of you not currently seeking therapy but nevertheless interested in building your self-awareness and self-care skills, I periodically facilitate psycho-educational and experiential groups focused on these goals. Please contact me if you're interested in being part of such a group.
